The Social Digitization Workshop of the Silesian Digital Library

The Social Digitization Workshop of the Silesian Digital Library was funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Program “Mecenat 2007”

The Workshop supports the development of the Silesian Digital Library by offering:

  • facilities to create digital resources by the Participants of the Silesian Digital Library, i.e. workstations for scanning, image processing and publication of digitized materials,
  • advisory and training services for the Participants in the area of organization and technique of digitization, processing, cataloguing and publication of digital resources,
  • support for librarians from all over the country, who wish to create new digital libraries,
  • opportunities for volunteers and trainees who wish to develop the Silesian Digital Library collection.

The Social Digitization Workshop is situated in the Silesian Library’s main building (Katowice, Rady Europy 1), in room 126. It is run by the Silesian Library staff. Opening hours: Monday – Friday, 7.30–15.30
